Traders in the Campus of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Talata Mafara have been warned that the present administration will not allow for continuing exploitation of prices as the prices of commodities must be controlled.
Yasir Ibrahim, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, SUG President elect, Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Talata Mafara, made the declaration during the inauguration of newly elected executive members of the union at the Polytechnic’s auditorium today.
The number one AGpite maintained that a well coordinated and consolidated academic committee would be established to boost the academic performance of the students in the Polytechnic.
Earlier in his speech, the immediate past SUG President, Rotr. Comr. Bashar Lawali M. Prayed that the SUG dues should be included in the Polytechnic’s Remita to ensure that every student pay.
This, according to the Comrade, will lead the union to generate more revenue for daily activities.
Responding, the Polytechnic’s Rector and founder Imani Foundation Dr. Sha’aya’u Shehu Mafara, Turakin Mafara expressed excitement over the conduct of successful SUG election and congratulate the new executive members, adding that the Polytechnic will miss a vibrant team of highly effective and respected SUG executive members, referring to the outgoing excos.
Turakin Mafara further described the outgoing president as Comrade indeed, who has been engaging the management in any decisions to be taking for or against the students.
He assured the SUG of the approval of their demand by integrating the SUG dues into the Polytechnic’s Remita for their financial comfort.
The Rector congratulate all successfully elected candidates in all the state wings and SUG elections and wish them a fruitful tenure.
